Founded by mother-daughter duo, Jen and Akinda, MAYANNA represents the art of savoring the moment. We grew up in the Midwest, where summers were short, so we cherished our days at the beach. Swimwear was always our most loved garment, reminding us of golden days. 

MAYANNA was born from endless beachside conversations about starting a swim label. We wanted a collection of signature resort wear that felt special, heirloom pieces designed to capture our favorite memories in the sun. 

We started with our fabric, dedicated to finding something rare. In France, we discovered exquisite jacquards – a texture we’d never seen for swimwear. The slow French lifestyle, family-run businesses, and dedication to craft inspired our first collection.

True to our beliefs, we decided to manufacture small batches exclusively in the USA. We officially opened our shop in March 2026.

We chose the name MAYANNA (Akinda's middle name) to embody a world of endless summer, ease, and a reminder to live in the moment. We hope you enjoy getting to know MAYANNA, welcome to our world!
